About Modern School

Modern School is a spacious and splended air-conditioned building spread across five acres of land. The campus has large open area as well as appropriately planned building for Pre – Primary, Middle and Senior Wing, providing ample space for outdoor as well as indoor sports activities. Central monitoring system makes the building totally safe, ensuring complete security for all the students. Controlled vehicular traffic within the campus ensures complete safety of the children. Fire alarms and firefighting system adds to the safety. The forms and colours of the buildings have been carefully designed to provide mental stimulation for children. Interior spaces throughout the school are child-friendly with no sharp edges or rough surfaces.

About Society

Digambar Jain Society for Child Welfare is a group of Philanthropists, Global Educators and people of the Jain Community with rich heritage of culture, honesty, religion and ideas. In the year 1969, the philanthropists of Jain community in New Delhi/ Delhi / NCR felt that they should establish institutions throughout the country commemorating the Jain ideas. Therefore, Digambar Jain Society for Child Welfare was formed and registered under the Societies Registration Act 1957 at Delhi. Since its inception, the society has been progressing in leaps and bounds in spreading its ideas, through education, in several parts of NCR and other states. The society is undertaking various other projects for the welfare of the children in different states, besides establishing Public Schools in NCR.

The society acquired five acres of land from the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority in year 2015. The prominent location of the school is just two minutes walking distance from Delta I Metro station. Under the dynamic leadership of Late Dr. S.D.Jain, Founder Chairman, the school has evolved as a leading educational hub where knowledge based learning takes place under the guidance of learned education facilitators.

Objectives

The objective is to develop a multi-faceted personality of the children so that when they leave the portal of the school, they find themselves physically fit, mentally alert, morally sound and emotionally well- balanced. The students of this school are expected to be fully confident, forward- looking and a worthy citizen of the country. Our culture is blended with modernity and is imbibed in the youth with innovations suited to the modern technological era. The school makes no distinction of caste, creed or colour . it provides admission to all, irrespective of religion and nationality. The school is secular, having liberal and enlightened cultural background.

The school is one of the fore runners amongst the elite educational institutions in the locality. It provides vibrant learning environment has been a pioneer in the field of modern education.At Modern, I firmly believe in motivating students to develop the creativity, a spirit of inquiry and moral leadership, as being envisioned by our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the nation builder and visionary. Amelioration is our core policy. Within the precincts of Modern, we strive hard to provide ample opportunities to students to grow while exploring their innate talent. In the process of reaching such high goals, children are pressurized by both parents and teachers leading to uncertainties and unhappiness. We at Modern School, Greater Noida feel it is more important to let a child develop naturally at its own pace and not nurture unrealistic aspirations. Greetings! LEARNING SHOULD BE JOYFUL AND FULFILLING!. Education is blossoming a human being to their fullest. This process has to be in the form of a joyful learning experience. Children should be nurtured and trained in such a way that they become Happy, resilient and self-reliant individuals. The aim of education as NEP also elaborates is not only to provide knowledge, but also to develop well rounded individuals capable of rational thinking with attributes like discipline,courage,compassion, empathy and sound ethical and moral values. Be fiercely curious. Education should aim to create engaged, creative thinkers who explore and widen their imagination beyond their immediate goals.The product should be a society with individuals who are healthy, knowledgeable, rational and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive and plural society as envisaged by our constitution. I strongly believe, as guides, we should encourage children to strive in pursuit of knowledge not marks. To help them learn new things from their teachers, peer mates and surroundings. Children through educational programs should be provided with sufficient knowledge of the world around them. They should be prepared to act skillfully with confidence and power to communicate their point based on proper enquiry and reasoning. Strengthening their life skills and equipping them with 21st century skills of competency, collaboration and creativity through diverse teaching learning patterns and a student friendly atmosphere should be prioritized in every school. ‘Nothing worth having comes easy’ encapsulates the idea that achieving something worthwhile requires hard work and perseverance. Children should learn with all their mind and heart. The key to being successful is hard work, consistency and the right way. Every day is an opportunity to learn and grow. Schools are the medium to provide plethora of these opportunities to the students to develop capacities of social engagement like qualities of team work, cooperation and leadership along with aesthetic and cultural values as they acquire knowledge and confidence to live a healthy and autonomous life. Managing Committee

The School has constituted - The School Managing Committee “SMC” As Per The Norms Of The Government/CBSE Consisting Of Fifteen (15) Members.

The SMC Shall Include The Following:

The Head of the society under which the school in functioning. He will be a Member Secretary of the School Managing Committee.
The Principal and the Vice Principal of school.
Three other people (of whom one shall be woman); who are/or have been teachers of any other school or of any college, to be nominated by the Society.
Three members recommended by the Society nominated by the Board. The names recommended should not be below the rank of a Principal of a Senior Secondary School.

The term of the members of the SMC shall be three years. A member can be re-nominated for another term, but a member cannot remain in office for more than two consecutive terms expect exofficio members and the members of the Trust/Society of the Associate’s School.

The Duties, Powers And Responsibilities Of The School Managing Committee Shall Be As Follows:

It has the power to supervise the activities of the school for its smooth functioning.
It must look into the welfare of the teachers and employees of the school.
It must evolve both short-term and long-term programmes for the amelioration of the Associate’s school.
It has the powers for making appointment of teachers and non-teaching staff.
It must ensure that the norms given in the Act of the State and by the CBSE regarding terms and conditions of service and other rules governing recognition/affiliation of the school are strictly adhered to.

Personalized education is the need of the day for our country to progress. This is because every child must be given the best level of education possible and to achieve this, our school has well qualified, trained and motivated teachers who can not only act as facilitators of education but also guide students and become good role model for them. Our teachers become a childs trusted friend and teach children to open their minds to new activities, thoughts and information. It has been rightly said that children are the future of any country and teachers play an important role in shaping their bright future.
