ADMISSIONS – Procedure and Requirements

Admissions to Modern School can be taken through two modes. i.e. Offline and Online.

OFFLINE – Parents can purchase the Registration Form &Prospectus from the school Reception on all working days 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and proceed as per the instructions of Admission Incharge.

ONLINE – Registration form is available on school website. It can be filled and submitted online.

Admissions to be granted on the basis of qualifying tests and Interaction made with the child and their parents except Class Nursery where no formal admission test is required.

On the basis of Performance in the admission test and interaction with students, the admissions will be catered. On successfully completing the initial admission process, admission Incharge shall collect the following documents from the students for going to the next level of admissions.

Original Birth Certificate (Nursery. KG, 1st)
Vaccination Certificate (Nursery to 3rd)
Mark sheet (from school last attended)
School leaving certificate duly counter signed by the state education authorities.
Photographs (2)
Migration certificate (If applicable)

On the successful completion of the admission formalities the students will be allocated to the desired/suggested class by principal along with the admission committee.

Promotion Policy

Promotion to next class is granted on the basis of academic score and co-scholastic assessment of the child during the whole year.

If a student misses even a single test, his/her position in the class will be effected. Absenteeism does not merely effect rank in the class but also the final result. 75% attendance is compulsory for appearing in the Board and 85% for the school exam. The Final Examination is meant to confirm and to establish the trend of progress throughout the year. Students should score minimum 40% marks for promotion to next higher class.Nursery and KG Classes grading system is followed wherein they have to score minimum ‘D’ Grade for promotion.

Fee Rules

Mode Of Payment

Fee, funds and other charges are to be paid on quarterly basis either in cash at the school fee counter or through A/C Payee’s cheque drawn in favour of “MODERN SCHOOL”. Cheque shall be accepted up to 7th day and cash on or before 10th day of each quarter i.e., April, July, October & January. Late payment fine shall be charged w.e.f. 11th day of the month as per the school rules and the name of the defaulters shall be struck off from the roll on the last working day of the month. For details of late fine and re-admission fee etc., kindly check the school notice board or contact office during school hours.

NOTE

No cheque for outstation clearance or postdated cheques will be accepted. Fee and Funds are not refundable/adjustable under any circumstances. Cheques will not be accepted during March/April. All fee including bus fee is subject to revision.

Caution Money

Caution money must be deposited by every pupil at the time of admission. It is to be kept as a token of security. Claim for refund of caution money shall be entertained within 3 months from the date of withdrawal or when the name is struck off from the roll or on completion of studies in the school and along with the original receipt, failing which the entire amount will be transferred to society reserve fund. Caution money will be refunded as per rules but without any interest.

Withdrawal from School

A clear one month’s notice in writing or one month’s fee in lieu of the notice is necessary for withdrawal of a student from the school. All outstanding dues must be cleared before the School Transfer Certificate is issued.
